Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
