Close to Ninety Flights Linked to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Came to or from UK Airfields
An investigation has uncovered that approximately 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have arrived at and departed from British airfields, with some allegedly transporting women from the UK who assert they were exploited by the found guilty sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Trail of Movement
The travel manifests were among a trove of court documents and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been released over the past year. The analysis found 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – encompassing many that were not previously known – landing or taking off from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unidentified “females” were listed among the travelers travelling into and out of the UK. Significantly, 15 of these UK flights took place after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a underage person.
“This is ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his operations in the country,” remarked US lawyers acting for hundreds of Epstein victims.
British Victims and Court Cases
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. Yet, that survivor has not been approached by police in the UK, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police indicated they had “not been provided with any further evidence that would support reopening the inquiry.” They noted, “If fresh and pertinent evidence be presented to us, encompassing any resulting from the release of documents in the US, we will assess it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to release every document held by the US government in regarding Epstein was approved by the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. Hundreds of thousands of files are projected to be released.
Additionally, a federal judge decided last week that the DOJ could make public investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
