Barcelona to Host Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
