On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned call records and data retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a biological test during the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is one of the most covered missing child cases and is still unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another recorded message, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine had been, but I know what I feel."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am she? What then? Is that not important for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I only wish to know," she added.

The tribunal was told that through emails, text messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with law enforcement who collated the data, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to close associates of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On 9 October 2024, Mr McCann picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg struck up a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt before joining her on a appearance to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in last December.

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the period leading up to the visit to the village, that area, in December 2024.

The court was told correspondence between the two individuals, in that autumn, considering endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her bins or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We need to make a stand," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the visit to their house, Mrs Spragg dispatched a message which said: "We are sitting adjacent to the McCanns' residence with our headlights off like private investigators. I desired to accomplish this with another person I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The case proceeds.
